I’m currently pursuing a PhD in the Media Department at Stockholm University, Sweden. My research concerns the interplay of media, refugee migration, photography and human rights.
I’m an experienced analyst and researcher with a diverse background in capacity building for the EU, UN, CSOs and academia focusing on media, human rights, humanitarian issues and international relations. I regularly give lectures and training sessions on issues and topic such as the use of media and communication technologies for social change, media responsibility and the role of journalism in society, both at university and in more informal settings. I’m also a frequent moderator on various topics in the above-mentioned field.
I’ve worked as a freelance writer since 2008 and have extensive experience in editorial management and radio production. Working across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, my assignments have taken me to more than 20 countries.
